The sunrise at Haleakala summit is stunning. Pictures simply don’t do it justice (but we tried anyway!). The summit is easily accessible by car, but get there early to ensure you don’t miss the gorgeous sunrise views. The Haleakala also offers a number of other beautiful hikes like hiking in the desert-like landscape, hiking the crater area, or watching sunset. A worthwhile stop of any Hawaiian exploration.
